World Book Day 2018

This year we celebrated World Book Day in a variety of ways.

In Primary One the children had a "No Pencil Day" after they listened to the wonderful story "The Day the Crayons Quit". They explored what life would be like if they didn't have any pencils or crayons.

In Primary 2, 3 and 4 the children talked about their favourite characters from different stories.

In Key Stage 2 the children participated in a table quiz based around class novels, classic books and popular books from the Accelerated Reader Library. The competition was fierce and the tension was electric.  The judges were impressed by the wide range of book knowledge....and three teams were in the lead, but the importance of correct spelling in the anagram round helped determine the winning team!! Better luck next time everyone!
