We are learning about money and financial capability. We are focusing a lot of our learning on a local business, Sandvik, an engineering company. We visited Sandvikon 28th January 2015 as part of our Business Education Project. We asked many questions to learn about all aspects of the business.
We were very interested in learning about Sandvik, a global engineering group with more than 50,000 employees worldwide with 360 on site in Ballygawley. Sandvik are committed to enhancing customer productivity, profitability and safety.
Sandvik's operations are based on unique expertise in materials technology, extensive knowledge about industrial processes and close customer co-operation.
When we visited Sandvik we were astonished at their attention to health and safety. The company believes that common and effective environment, health and safety requirements and standards should be established at an international level. We witnessed this highest regard for health and safety throughout our visit.
We produced a presentation video using imovie collaborating our learning experiences. We combined text, data, sounds and images to express our learning experiences. We expressed and communicated our work showing an awareness of audience and purpose.
