Using Izak9 interactive maths resource we love working with each other, interacting to share and discuss our thought processes and ideas on how to go about solving problems.
We also work with our friends from other classes. We problem solve together and learn from each other. P7 ask open ended questions to help the P5 solve and understand number problems.
We always begin with a warm up activity to help us work as a team. We enjoy the competitiveness opportunities Izak9 offers. We love competing with our peers and we have to work very well as a team to be good competitors.
We then worked together to make a magic square. We had to discuss the task and what strategies we would use to complete the task. We worked with the P5 class and there was a trick in the task.......to ensure we worked as a team only the P5 were allowed to touch the cubes. P7 had to question and guide the P5 through the task and ensure they understood the concept.
