Sports Day 2018

We couldn't have asked for better weather for our Sports Day this year. In the sweltering heat, armed with sunscreen, water bottles, hats and sunglasses, we all tried our best in the running races, bat and beanbag/ball races and finally the sack races, cheered on by family and friends.

After break, our wonderful Fundamentals Coach, Michelle, set up 10 fun stations for the whole school. The older children led the younger children in each station. It looked like so much fun! It was great to see some parents coming along to soak up the sun, have a cup of tea and catch-up with each other.

Being very sensible and sun-safe, we stayed out of the mid-day sun and ate out dinners in the hall. After lunch we had our Sports Day prize giving, attended by some very talented past pupils who came back to school to share with us the trophies that they have won for Holy Trinity Secondary School for football. Thank you to Jamie and Ethan Bloomer, Thomas Mackle and Conor McGarrity. Its always good to see past pupils return to share their successes.
