Schools in the past

 Primary 6 are studying 'Our School' as their World Around Us topic. With this topic includes looking back at schools in the past.

We have recently been discovering how classrooms and teachers where a lot different in the past than what they are now in the present. As a class the children all agree that they definitely prefer their school now than attending one in the past!

To get a good insight into schools in the past we took a walk up to the rock village to look at The Rock National School. The children explored inside and outside the building they could not believe how small the whole building was and limited space available compared to the facilities we now have.

This really opened up the children's imaginations and they enjoyed exploring The National School.
