Primary3/4 visit Tesco

As part of their World Around Us topic 'Bread',the Primary3/4 class recently visited Tescos in Dungannon to discuss the breads they sell and how their bakery operates. Gene McGurk, a past pupil of Rock Primary School, met the children on arrival before showing them some videos on the making of bread. The pupils then visited the in store bakery. They were introduced to different flavours of bread, the baking process and got to make pancakes in the bakery. The pupils received a goody bag with fruit, some games and information books before they returned to school. A great day was had by all, thanks to Gene McGurk, Tescos and especially Miss McVeigh for organising the trip.
