P5 Science Investigation

We carried out a scientific investigation to see which substances dissolved or didn't dissolve in water.  We discussed fair testing and decided that we needed the same amount of water, we were all using cold water, same amount of each substance and that the same pupil would stir the water for the same amount of time.  We decided that the only change was the type of substance used.  We discussed afterwards what we observed and that if we had used warm water this would have speeded up the dissolving process.  We now know the terms soluble and insoluble.
