Our Week in Reception and Primary One

This week we investigated flowers during play. We observed, drew and photographed flowers and parts of plants.

We created our own little greenhouse so we could observe the growing process of a bean seed..we are still waiting patiently for any sign of growth.

We recorded the weather everyday this week..and we can't believe we even had some snow in Springtime!

To continue our Plants theme we listened to the story of the Enormous Turnip. We enjoyed some drama activities to help with our understanding of the story.

We used balances to weigh a variety of objects in the classroom.

In P.E. we have finished our unit on Catch Skills and practised all that we have learnt in a Circuits activity.

Leading up to Easter we listened to the story of the Last Supper. We talked about times we share food with our family and friends, and we practised our sharing skills with some biscuits, remembering to say "Would you like a biscuit?" "Yes, please" and "Thank you".
