Our Senses
P2&3 have been learning all about their 5 senses this week. We carried out some practical activities which encouraged the children to focus on the senses they where using. We had musical instruments for our sense of 'hearing', some materials which where; hard, soft, rough, smooth, fluffy, bendy and bumpy for our sense of 'touching'.The children where great at recognising the different textures. The boys and girls also smelt some beautiful fragrances for their sense of 'smell'. They used their sense of 'seeing' by pointing out different coloured items in the class and outside the class. Primary 2&3 used their sense of 'taste' by tasting some delicious fruit, they discovered some fruit which was; bitter, sour and sweet. They also discovered some foods which can be salty. As you can tell by some of the pictures not everyone was so keen about the bitter fruit! As a treat P2&3 got to eat the remaining fruit once the lesson was over 😊
