Help the 'HeartBeat' raises £100.00

The Primary 3/4 class held a fundraiser in the school on Thursday 17th December to raise funds for The Childrens Heartbeat Trust Northern Ireland. The Charity was selected by the class as it has close connections to the school. The Pupils worked hard to prepare for the Fundraiser. They decided to give each pupil a piece of their favourite fruit and a shortbread buiscuit. The pupils, working in groups, carried out a survey within the school to gather numbers of favourite fruits, worked with Mrs Mills to write instructions for the heart shaped shortbread biscuits before making and icing them. They designed posters to advertise their event and wrote a note to parents and pupils to inform them of the fundraiser. The pupils also had to study costs and profit to workout how much money they could raise. The hardwork paid of with the fundraiser being a great success and the class raised £100.00 for the charity which was presented to Mrs McCourt on behalf of the trust. The class would like to say a big thank-you to all pupils and parents for their support.
