Celebrating World Book Day 2016

As part of our World Book Day celebrations KS1 And KS2 worked together learning more about poetry.  We took part in the Big Book Off Challenge and explored the poem River Reflection by Jackie Kay.  We listened to the powt perform her poem and together using illustrations we represented everything the poem meant to us.  Pupils worked in pairs across the key stages and enjoyed learning together.  The pupils built up vocabulary that reflected the poem and why different parts of the poem captured their interest and imagination.
