A little bit of planting in P6 and P7

As part of our Term 1 topic work we learned more about what plants need to grow.  From our learning experiences we planted carrots, spring onions and peas as the season is now correct for the seeds to germinate and grow.  We also learned a lot from Mrs Devlin who is a keen gardener.  Mrs Devlin and Mrs Lagan helped us to dig drills to plant the seeds.  It is now important to water and weed the soil to ensure the seeds grow.  Together with the Eco Schools Council we have created a timetable for each class to take responsibility for watering and weeding.  We will oversee the growth of the vegetables and take photographs of the growth.
