Our visit to Sacred Heart chapel
15th Apr 2016
We genuflected when we came in, kneeled down and said hello to God.
We sang our song 'The Church' and used actions.
Caomhán shows us a Paschal candle.
We look at the pictures on the stained glass windows.
Mrs Armstrong leads us in a special prayer service.
Odhran points out the crucifix. This reminds us of the sacrifice Jesus made for us.
Sarah and Ava show us the Holy Bible that the Priest reads from at Mass.
Aimee and Lorcan point out the baptismal font, where some of us were christened at as babies.
Cora and Cassie show us the bell we will ring when we become Altar Servers.
Joel and Dylan show us the sanctuary light, always shining to show God's everlasting presence.
Shea and Caolan genuflect at the tabernacle as a sign of respect.
We see what it is like to sit in the gallery.
We saw the rope that rings the bell to let people know Mass is starting.
We looked carefully at the image of the Sacred Heart.
The Stations Of The Cross remind us what happened Jesus on Good Friday.
Mrs Armstrong leads our special prayer service.
The crib on the glass reminds us that Jesus was born in a stable.
We found another special picture. It is called 'The Divine Mercy'.
We loved answering questions about the Church.
We blessed ourselves and prayed together.
We found a special star which shines brightly at Christmas time.
